A web host provider is the resource that manages your web, sending your information out over the internet to those requesting it. For a typical small business or individual web site, I found WINSAVE.COM to be an adequate, cost effective, web host provider. There is a monthly, quarterly, or annual fee associated with retaining a web host provider.
A domain name must be chosen for your web site. Ideally it would be the same as your company name, however, it may not always be available. Domain name availability can be checked at WINSAVE.COM. There is an annual fee associated with retaining a domain name.
The content of your web site is an individual choice, however, I believe any given web page should not be excessively large. A consistent set of links should be made available to navigate through the site.
There are many different styles of web sites. Decide on the style you desire and maintain it throughout your entire site.
(this depends mainly on the annual WINSAVE cost) D P Consulting, Inc. could optionally continue doing this each year or you could take over the arrangement with the web hosting site, saving about $50.00 per year. A typical web site can be created and published for approximately $200.00. This would include up to ten web pages derived from WORD, WORDPAD, NOTEPAD, or WORD PERFECT pages. Adding pictures to your web, performing special consulting tasks to help design your web, or doing web updates will be billed at the rate of $50.00 per hour. If any of these apply, I will let you know, before I perform any of these tasks. A minimum web update charge will be $50.00.The initial annual cost associated with web hosting and domain name retention using WINSAVE.COM through D P Consulting, Inc. is approximatly $165.00.
